IndigAbility

P/L

Let’s support you on your journey

IndigAbility acknowledges the traditional custodians of this land and pay our respects to our Elders and Ancestors past, present and future. We are committed to closing the gap with our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and building their growth and empowerment along the way.

Let’s work together to build a stronger community.

*IndigAbility currently provides services for those aged 5+

Allowing any new service to come into your home can be hard – especially when there are cultural factors at play, and you have not felt supported in the past.

At IndigAbility – we understand the importance of culture. We look at providing ongoing support to meet your personal needs.

We take the time to get to know you and your family better and to understand your specific situation.

We would like you to consider us as becoming an extension to your family, so you don’t feel like you are doing this alone.

We understand there is no “one size fits all” to service delivery (services you require), that’s why all of our services will be tailored specifically to suit your family’s needs, as everyone’s circumstances are different.

IndigAbility encourages individuals/families of Non-Indigenous backgrounds to also contact our service if you require ongoing support with NDIS, or would just like to know more about how we can assist you.

How Did IndigAbility Come About?

Katrina (Director) has been engaging with aboriginal families within the community for a number of years. It was realised that there was a massive gap in services in the Macarthur, Wollondilly, Liverpool, and Southern Highland LAC’s for Indigenous support services.

IndigAbility is striving to bridge the gap by providing services to the community, that are specific to an individual’s needs whilst being culturally appropriate.

Words From Those We’ve Helped

IndigAbility is an amazing, culturally-appropriate, supportive company that understands my daughters’ everyday needs, due to her disability.

Katrina has been a huge support for myself (and my daughter) – in listening and guiding me.

I know I can rely on her if I’m in doubt, unsure or just need a friendly ear to listen.

We all know some days can be harder than other days, but with Katrina those days are probably the better ones because she helps you see things from a different perspective.

I highly recommend IndigAbility.

Indigability

I’m a Nan caring for my grand-daughter who was diagnosed with ASD from a very young age. Previous support for my child was irregular, until I found IndigAbility. Since this service became involved, my life as a Nan has changed dramatically. The intense support LJ continues to receive from Katrina is life-changing. LJs’ behaviours have settled, and easy to follow home routines which have been introduced – has allowed us to function better as a family over the course of time. My grand-daughter is thriving since being a part of this service, and her life skills towards being independent as a young-person has grown.I would recommend IndigAbility to any family who would like support from a cultural perspective, to take this first step and start your journey.
